Soul work feels subtle, ignore-able, and passive. It whispers around corners and echos in the silent breaks in my day.
Spiritual direction is my way of making an appointment to be still and sit with the great mystery of faith, or absence of faith, and to hear how it comes out of my mouth and through my stories.
Divinity is like the grandmother who patiently toils away in the kitchen and den- working around the family as they play- tidying up the crumbs and soaking the counter tops so they are prepared for the next round of sacred meals, sacred play and sacred stories.
