I finally finished reading Thomas Moore’s Care of the Soul. I think I underlined at least three things on every other page! What a beautiful and wise book.
“Our culture is in need of theological reflection that does not advocate a particular tradition, but tends the soul’s need for spiritual direction.” ~Thomas Moore
Y’all, spiritual direction allows me to help people recognize the “halo of holiness” surrounding all of life.
If holiness is not your word, you can use any word that stirs your imagination of the divine within you. There is an energy, a life force, a loving field that surrounds life. all of it. And in spiritual direction we work together to weave that truth back into your life, especially in the places where it’s been torn away.
Caring for your soul is on-going. It is not a thing that you can ever finish. There are times when you’ll feel called to re-connect with your own interior landscape. When those times come, I hope that you will remember that spiritual direction can bare outer witness to your progress along the inner path.
We spiritual directors come from all paths and we express our vocation with all different methods and voices. I would love to be your spiritual director if we are a good fit for each other.

We all have those places in our lives where we feel separated from the truth of who we are. When enough of our life is lived from those places, our life loses it’s vitality.
I was recently reminded that in order to get back my sense of rich “Pam-ness”, I needed to go directly to those places, stand in them, and let my soul slowly come back into focus.
Where, dear reader, is that happening for you?
I wish you deep peace and satisfaction of living out of your “you-ness”.
And, also sweet dreams 🙂
